What’s Coow Woow?
A Coow Woow is supposedly the the first mixed drink served in America back in 1664.
I found the drink while trying to do a bit of research on New England’s history with Rum manufacturing. As you can see in the recipe listed below, the Coow Woow is Rum heavy. Not something you’d normally think of when you think of New England.
If you’d like to try a Coow Woow, pour 2 oz. Rum and 1 oz. ginger brandy over crushed ice. Stir and strain into a cocktail glass.
