Juleps that go beyond mint - New York Times

Watch the Kentucky Derby on Saturday at a flat-screen party, or better, land an invitation to Louisville, Ky., and you will most likely drink mint juleps. Like eggnog at Christmas, they have their moment. But bartenders at the Brandy Library, Blue Smoke, Smith’s and Wildwood Barbeque, among others, are now mixing this cocktail far beyond the first Saturday in May.

I really only call this out because like the bars/bartenders listed - I like to make (and drink) mint juleps all summer.
