Local man creates ‘Eliot Spritzer’ cocktail | democratandchronicle.com | Democrat and Chronicle
The jokes about Gov. Eliot Spitzer’s fall from grace are running rampant throughout the media. Now Rochester mixologist Chris Carlsson wants to use the cocktail bar as a means of expressing the absurdity of this political tragedy.
Carlsson, creator of the online publication, Spiritsreview.com, has invented the Eliot Spritzer, a high-octane, multi-layered affair that starts with champagne, then delves into absinthe, the potent and “crazy-making” liquor flavored with herbs (primarily wormwood), and ends with a blood-red layer of Campari.
