According to Information Resources Inc. (IRI), martinis and mojitos are the most commonly-requested spirits drinks at bars and restaurants. IRI’s survey of more than 500 on-premises accounts (bars, restaurants, hotels, and nightclubs) in the major metro areas (New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Dallas/Ft. Worth) titled Success in the Cities, shows that traditional martinis account for 31 percent of all cocktail requests, with apple martinis coming in a close second, followed by miscellaneous fruit martinis, dirty martinis, and chocolate martinis.
