With that professional city woman in mind, Green and Krinn launched a fierce fleet of Thursday martini nights and “Sex in the City” parties, shopping soirées that have women scoping the sales while sipping and mingling with their peers.

This stood out to me because it uses cocktails instead of a “wine and cheese party”. I read it as a sign that the cocktail renaissance is getting stronger and people are getting more comfortable with cocktails then defaulting to wine and/or beer.
